Grand Canyon Wedding at Shoshone Point

If you have never attended a Grand Canyon wedding at Shoshone Point, check out Gibby and Justin’s day. It all  started with a one mile walk/bike/hike to the edge of the Grand Canyon at Shoshone Point. It was their intention to have their guests slow down and breathe. In order to get to the craft beer, prickly pear margaritas, and food, you walked. Their friends know a thing or two about setting up a fancy campsite because, well, it’s their job. Gibby and Justin and many of the guests are river guides with Canyon Explorations. This party was punctuated with smiles, laughter, some serious guacamole, down jackets, whiskey, groovers and soulful love for this couple. They walked down the aisle together, welcomed their guests and promptly led everyone to Shoshone Point to literally put the Canyon into the middle of their ceremony. It was a moment of reflection followed by Gibby and Justin’s hands raised in silent jubilation. They walked back to the ceremony site, said their vows and let the party begin. I had to talk this couple into getting some photos ALONE. They have such big hearts they just kept wanting to add friends into their photos to make it a group shot. Many congrats to you guys and with any luck, we’ll float down the river together one day. Of all the weddings we’ve photographed over the years, this Grand Canyon wedding at Shoshone Point is one of our favorites of all time. It was just filled with so much love and adventure both things we love. If you want to get married at the Grand Canyon, we highly suggest you work with experienced vendors. It’s an extreme place and we know all the best spots for photos, weddings and engagements or proposals. If you’d like to see more from their wedding. ( photos by Cameron Clark)
