Our associate photographed this beautiful holiday winter wedding at L’Auberge de Sedona in early December. I loved all of the holiday details Jessica chose to bring the theme together. How adorable is the ring bearer and flower girl, wearing a touch of plaid? We can always count on Sarah from Sarah’s Garden to provide amazing floral. Of course I’m a sucker for a good December wedding. I chose to have a Christmas wedding of my own (many years ago–eeeks!) Congrats Jess and Phil.
If you are planning a holiday winter wedding, Sedona may be the perfect option. The weather is warm during the days with cool evenings. There is always a chance of snow in December but it doesn’t stick around long when it does snow. One thing to keep in mind when planning a winter wedding is that the short days. As photographers we love the hour or two before sunset for portraits, but that may mean taking photos as early as two or three in the afternoon. Be sure to ask lots of questions about the timing of your event to make sure you receive the photo coverage that you want and the daylight does’t sneak away from you.
